Vote “Approve” on Question 1.*
To rebuild our roads and bridges.
It’s a national problem. But the past 50 years, and the harsh extremes of New England weather, have taken an even greater toll on Rhode Island’s infrastructure. Our roads and bridges have also seen a level of wear-and-tear they just weren’t designed for.
An “Approve” vote on Question 1, on November 4, is the only viable way to finance our urgent need for infrastructure improvements.
If Question 1 isn’t approved, highway and bridge work in the Ocean State will come to a virtual halt. So will the employment of more than 5,000 people in construction and related fields. And so will state revenues from related goods and services.
